Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and HD Counseling, LLC, which makes Closer. By using Closer, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can play
You must be at least 18. Closer is for private games with people you already know.
The Rules of the Room
Everyone agrees to these before their first round, and they’re part of these terms:
- You can pass on any question, no explanation needed.
- What’s said in the game stays in the game.
- Never weaponize an answer later.
- Curiosity is welcome. Advice only when asked.
- Anyone can call a pause if a topic is too much.
Zero tolerance for abuse
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don’t post anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone
- attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or similar traits
- sexualizes or involves a minor in any way
- shares someone else’s private information or images without their consent
- encourages self-harm, violence, or anything illegal
- is spam, a scam, or impersonates someone
You can report any answer or block any player with the ··· button. A reported answer is hidden right away. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and may permanently remove anyone who breaks them, without notice.
Your content
You own what you write. You give us permission to store it and show it to the players in your room so the game works. You can delete it anytime from Delete my data. You’re responsible for what you post, and screenshots taken by other players are outside our control.
Not therapy, not a crisis service
Closer is a game. It isn’t therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and no one monitors games in real time. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. For emotional support, call or text 988 in the US. See Support.
The legal part
- Closer is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, HD Counseling, LLC isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for what other players write or do. Our total liability is limited to $50.
- We may update Closer or these terms. If a change is meaningful, we’ll update the date above. Continuing to play means you accept the new terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
